Heat-resistant Plastic Pipes: Against High Temperatures

With the continuous development of industrial production, the application of heat-resistant materials is becoming increasingly widespread. In high-temperature environments, heat-resistant plastic pipes must be able to maintain their shape, size, and performance stability within a working temperature range far higher than that of ordinary plastic pipes, without softening, melting, or decomposing. Some conventional materials will find it difficult to meet these requirements. Therefore, the demand for heat-resistant plastic tubing is also increasing. Below, we will introduce several common types of heat-resistant plastic tubings.

Polyimide Pipes

Polyimide pipes have excellent chemical resistance, heat resistance, and radiation resistance in high-temperature environments. They have high tensile strength at room temperature and are excellent high-temperature materials. They are mainly used in electronics, machinery, aviation, and other fields. Polyimide pipes primarily include PEEK polyimide pipes and PI polyimide pipes, with PI polyimide pipes being a better-performing and more expensive option.

Polyetherketone Pipes

Polyetherketone pipes are high-performance heat-resistant plastic tubings that can be used for fluid transport in high-temperature environments, such as in petrochemicals and aerospace. Their advantages include maintaining strength and rigidity at high temperatures, as well as having good chemical stability and wear resistance.

Fluoroplastic Pipes

Fluoroplastic pipes have excellent corrosion resistance and heat resistance in environments with high temperatures and corrosive gases and liquids. Common fluoroplastics include PTFE, FEP, PFA, ETFE, among others, each with different properties and prices. The primary application scenarios for fluoroplastic pipes are in chemicals, electronics, and medical fields.

Thermoplastic Polyamide Pipes

Thermoplastic polyamide pipes possess good heat resistance and have a wide range of applications, including in aviation, aerospace, machinery, and electronics. Their advantages include high strength, good heat resistance, good chemical stability, and excellent load-bearing performance.

Polyimide pipes, polyetherketone pipes, fluoroplastic pipes, and thermoplastic polyamide pipes are all common heat-resistant plastic pipes, each with its own characteristics and application fields. When choosing heat-resistant plastic tubings, it is necessary to select according to actual needs. SUZHOU SEAPEAK's heat-resistant plastic pipes can be used at conditions of 100℃ and are suitable for various high-temperature environments, widely used in factories, agriculture, engineering, and in food and sanitary pipe systems for pumping and drainage, oil, and powder.
