Precautions for Using Rubber Hose Pipes

Precautions for Using Rubber Hose Pipes

  • Be sure to use the rubber hose pipe within the recommended temperature and pressure ranges.

  • The hose will expand and contract with internal pressure, so cut the hose slightly longer than the length you need.

  • When applying pressure, open and close any valves slowly to avoid pressure surge.

  • Use the rubber hose pipe within its bending radius; otherwise, it may cause the hose to break or reduce its pressure resistance.

  • When using powders or granules, wear may occur depending on the conditions. Try to increase the bending radius of the hose as much as possible.

  • Do not use the hose in an extremely bent state near metal parts.

  • Do not allow the hose to come into direct contact with or be near open flames.

  • Do not run over the hose with vehicles or other heavy objects.

Precautions When Assembling Rubber Hose Pipes

  • Select hose joints that match the hose size.

  • When inserting the tail part of the joint into the hose, apply oil to both the hose and the tail part. Do not use flames. If insertion is difficult, heat the hose with hot water before inserting the joint.

  • Completely insert the serrated tail part of the joint into the hose.

  • Do not use one-time push-in joints, as they may cause the hose to burst.

  • Avoid over-tightening with wire, choose specialized sleeves or ties.

  • Avoid using damaged or rusty joints.

Precautions When Inspecting Rubber Hose Pipes

  • Pre-use inspection: Before using the hose, check for any abnormal damage, hardening, softening, discoloration, etc., on the surface.

  • Regular inspection: Carry out regular inspections once a month during the hose's usage period.

Safety Precautions

  • Operators should wear safety protective gear, including gloves, rubber boots, and safety goggles. These are mainly used to protect the operator's safety.

  • Ensure the work area is safe and orderly.

  • Check if the joints on each hose are secure.

  • When not in use, do not keep the hoses under pressure. Shutting off the pressure can prolong the hose's (silicone hose, Teflon hose, rubber hose pipe, food-grade hose, sanitary-grade hose, thermoplastic rubber hose pipe, sanitary-grade plastic hose) service life.
