4. Throw
If possible, you can step on the edge of the PVC hose to see if it can be easily crushed. Take a PVC hose and throw it to the ground. If it is broken, then the hose is a 'high calcium tablet'. Some manufacturers add excessive calcium powder in hose production in order to save costs and improve profits, so such hose is cheap.
